Dr. Tom LaFountain has been a member of the Professional Golfer’s Association (PGA) sports medicine team since 1997 and is the founder of Professional Sports Care. Dr. Tom LaFountain has provided chiropractic sports medicine services at over 100 PGA tournaments including - nine Masters tournaments, nine PGA Championship events, nine U.S. Opens, three Ryder Cups, and two President Cup events. Dr. Tom LaFountain’s overall treatments and evaluations on PGA golfers has exceeded 9,000 visits. He is currently the director of chiropractic services for the PGA Tour, a position he has held since 1997.

Prior to PGA involvement Dr. Tom LaFountain has served as

  • Team physician for the U.S. Speedskating Team at the World Cup Championships in Berlin, Germany; Warsaw, Poland; Haranveen, Holland; and Albertville, France from 1991-1993
  • Team Chiropractic physician for U.S. Olympic Speedskating Team at the 1994 Winter Olympic Games in Lillihammer, Norway
  • Team physician for U.S. Olympic Speedskating Team at the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, France
  • U.S. Olympic Committee Volunteer Team Physician, U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Dr. Tom LaFountain studied advanced spinal evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation protocols at the Ministry of Olympic Sports in Moscow and Leningrad (St. Petersburg), Russia in 1990. He has been in practice in New Hartford and Utica, New York since 1982.
